Meet Our Pastor
Rev. Kendall K. Anderson Sr. is the founding Pastor of the Christian fellowship Baptist Church Jacksonville, Florida. Rev. Anderson is a native of St. Augustine, Florida. He was educated in the St. Augustine Public School System. Rev. Anderson received his seminary training from the Luther Rice Seminary Litonia, Georgia. He earned a Bachelor of Theology Degree and a Master of Ministry Degree from the Jacksonville Baptist Theological Seminary.
Rev. Anderson recently retired from the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office as a Police Officer for 25 years and he is actively working in the local community. Rev. Anderson is a community activist and leader and as such, he enjoys giving back to the community and causing positive change in the lives of people. He also is a promoter of progressive leadership, which causes believers to have good self-esteem of themselves. Rev. Anderson has served on several ministries and community boards.
Rev. Anderson has served as the Florida Sheriff’s Association President and as the Jacksonville Baptist Association African American church planter. Rev. Anderson is currently the Director of the Vision for Excellence Summer Camp. Previously, Rev. Anderson served on the Florida State College Safety Board, the National Baptist Evangelistic Board and the Juvenile Justice Board. Rev. Anderson is married to Karen (Jenkins) Anderson, his wife of 30 years. They are the proud parents of two children Stephanie and Kendall Jr. who are fraternal twins.
